Want your writing published on the Wharf? We love submissions! If you are between the ages of 8 and 18, send us your poetry, prose and stories. Need help or want feedback? We can hook you up with an editor. We just ask a few things:
To submit:
- Send us an email with your name, age, school, and state at the top. Then copy and paste your writing directly into the body of the email.
- Please make sure that your writing is under 5,000 words.
- Please proofread. Even the best writers need a second pair of eyes to check over their writing. Ask a friend, relative or teacher to give it a look.
- By submitting to our blog, you have to assure us that your work is original and written by you; that way the TR can consider your work for future Telling Room anthologies. At the bottom of your submission, please copy and paste the following phrase:
“I did this work myself and did not copy it or any part of it from anyone or anything. By emailing my work I give The Telling Room permission to print it on The Widgery Wharf Literary Blog, to use it for your website and any other promotional materials and grants, and to consider it for publication in future Telling Room anthologies.”
- If you’d like someone to send feedback, please include “I’m open to feedback” at the end of your submission.
Send your submission to: submissions@tellingroom.org
